Graduation Requirements
Cardinal Mooney is a Diocesan high school chartered by the State of Ohio. The following are the requirements for graduation as prescribed by the Ohio State Board of Education and Cardinal Mooney High School.
1. Cardinal Mooney requires successful completion of 25 total units of credit. The minimum program for graduation requires:

| English | 4 units |
| Social Studies | 3 units (including American History & Government) |
| Mathematics | 3 units |
| Fine & Performing Arts | 1 unit |
| Science | 3 units (including Biological Science & Physical Science) |
| Health | 1/2 unit |
| Physical Education | 1/2 unit |
| Electives | 6 units |
| * This requirement will be adjusted for students who enter Cardinal Mooney after the ninth grade. | |
2. Each student must successfully pass all five parts of the Ohio Graduation Test.
3. Each student must have TWO MAJORS and TWO MINORS. A MAJOR is three units in the same field. Since four units of English are required, English is an automatic major. One other major, in addition to Theology, and two minors are required by the State. A MINOR is two units in the same field.
4. Students who fail to meet the academic requirements for graduation will not be permitted to participate in graduation activities.
