Joseph Fleming is a 1966 graduate of Cardinal Mooney and is currently
President and co-owner of Falcon Transportation. He is also
vice-president of Comprehensive Logistics. He is a graduate
of Georgetown University and holds a Masters Degree from Howard
University. Following graduation from Georgetown University,
he taught mathematics in Washington D.C. public schools for three
years before returning to Youngstown to join McNicholas Transportation
Inc. He served as vice-president of McNicholas until 1982
when he was one of the founders of Falcon Transportation.
Joe is involved in a number of community projects. He served
as chairman of the 2001 Bishop's Appeal Campaign and is a member
of the Advisory Board of Catholic Charities. He has been quite
active with Mill Creek Children's Center, serving as a board member
since 1997 and also as a member of their building fund committee.
At Cardinal Mooney, Mr. Fleming was one of the early organizers
of the Alumni Association and has been a member of the "Campaign
for Excellence" Advisory Committee. He has served as
the President of Catholic Community Services and as President of
the Holy Family Parish Council and has chaired its fundraising committee.
Mr. Fleming and his wife, the former Maryellen Comerford '66, are
the parents of three sons: Dan, Michael, and Kevin, all graduates
of Cardinal Mooney.
