Mrs. Colaianni is a 1965 graduate of Cardinal Mooney
and is currently the Nursing Director of the Mahoning County District
Board of Health. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the
Cardinal Mooney Alumni Association and has served as both as President
and Vice-President of the Association. Mrs. Colaianni has served
as chairman of the school’s Career Day event for seven years and
worked as a volunteer for The Cardinal Challenge, the Alumni Association’s
annual fundraising campaign. A state speech champion in 1965, she
has served as a speech judge for twenty-seven years and has coached
speech at Mooney for the past ten years.
As a member of St. Luke parish, Mrs. Colaianni is a member and past
president of the Parish Council. She has served on the New Church
Building Committee and Finance Committee and currently serves as
a Lector and Eucharistic Minister at the parish.
She graduated from Carlow College with a Bachelor of Science degree
in Nursing Science and also earned a Master of Science degree in
Community Health Nursing from Case Western Reserve University. She
is a member of the Ohio and American Public Health Associations
and serves on the boards of the Eastern Ohio Area Health Education
Network, Turning Point Counseling Services, and Forum Health Diabetes
Help Advisory Committee. Mooney principal, Sr. Jane Marie Kudlacz
noted that “Diana can always find time in her busy schedule to help
the students of Cardinal Mooney and at the same time, she is an
effective representative in the community for the values that she
learned while a student here.”
Mrs. Colaianni and her husband, Dean, are the parents
of four children: David, Steven, Maria and Robert, all are Cardinal
Mooney graduates.
