Catherine Pearce Wigley

Mrs.Wigley, a 1969 graduate of Cardinal Mooney, is currently the principal of St. Luke School in Boardman.  She holds Bachelor of Science and  Master of Science in Education degrees from Youngstown State University and has done additional post-graduate work at Youngstown State University, Hiram College, Ursuline College, and Kent State University.

Prior to being named principal of St. Luke School in 1989, Mrs. Wigley served as principal of Immaculate Conception School and taught at St. Anne School in Austintown.  In addition, she was a kindergarten teacher, middle and junior high English teacher at Sacred Heart School while also acting as the school's principal.

Mrs. Wigley has been nominated for the YMCA "Woman of the Year" award, sits on St. Luke's Parish Council, and is a charter member of St. Luke's Booster Club.  She also spends a great deal of time working with St. Luke's Home and School Association.  She belongs to the Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma education sorority and is the organization's past president.  In addition, Mrs. Wigley is the parochial chairperson of  "Kids' Coins for Cancer."

She lists traveling as well as attending the many sporting events her sons participate in as her favorite pastimes.  Mrs. Wigley, her husband Mark, and two sons Adam and Logan reside in Poland.
