Robert Carper among the top 100 high school seniors in the country
in 1974-1975 and deservedly so. Robert was a two-time All-Steel
Valley and All-Diocese performer. He was All-Northeastern Ohio
and honorable mention All-State. Robert led the Cardinals to the
1972-1973 District title and was Mooney’s Most Valuable Player
in the 1974-1975 season. With his 964 career point total, he remained
the Cards leading all-time scorer for more than ten years. Robert
chose to attend Ball State University on a basketball scholarship
and again listed among the top 100 college freshmen in the country.
He was a three-year letterman for Ball State. Robert currently
works in the insurance industry as an Underwriting Specialist,
Personal Lines. He and his wife, Donna, have two daughters, Cora
and Brandi. They reside in Indianapolis, Indiana.
