Basketball - Class of 1975

National recruiting publications listed Robert Carper among the top 100 high school seniors in the country in 1974-1975 and deservedly so. Robert was a two-time All-Steel Valley and All-Diocese performer. He was All-Northeastern Ohio and honorable mention All-State. Robert led the Cardinals to the 1972-1973 District title and was Mooney’s Most Valuable Player in the 1974-1975 season. With his 964 career point total, he remained the Cards leading all-time scorer for more than ten years. Robert chose to attend Ball State University on a basketball scholarship and again listed among the top 100 college freshmen in the country. He was a three-year letterman for Ball State. Robert currently works in the insurance industry as an Underwriting Specialist, Personal Lines. He and his wife, Donna, have two daughters, Cora and Brandi. They reside in Indianapolis, Indiana.
