Tim Fyda started out protecting and defending Cardinal Mooney gridiron territory and those who remember his tenacity it comes as no surprise that he spent 8 years in active duty protecting and defending our country as an U.S. Air Force F-15 fighter pilot. Tim was an instrumental member of the Cardinals’ first State championship in 1973. He lettered in both ‘73 and ‘74 helping the Cards win 2 Steel Valley Championships and earned All- SVC honors in 1974. He also excelled at tennis lettering twice and gaining All-SVC accolades. Fyda accepted a commission to the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he played 4 years of football and lettered twice. In his senior season he led the team in tackles and was named as a 2nd Team Academic All-American. Tim is currently the President of Fyda Freightliner, Inc., a group of truck dealerships in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He is married and has four sons.
