Henry Hanna, Jr.
Football - Class of 1963

In his description of Henry Hanna when he was selected to the All-City team in 1962, The Vindicator sports writer said, "When it comes to all-around excellence at offensive and defensive tackle, Hanna had no peers. He's the object of countless college inquiries because he's a polished performer, a master at solving the "trap".

Henry was a two-year starter for Denny Barrett's Cardinals, one of our tri-captains, and an All-City selection in 1962. He earned a scholarship to the University of Michigan where he was a starter at offensive guard in 1965 and 1966. An Honorable Mention All-American in 1966, Henry made the "All-Big-Ten" team and the Chicago American "All-Star" second team.

For the past 27 years, Henry has been a math and science teacher in Carrollton public schools in Carrolton, Michigan. He and his wife Jan have two daughters.
