David A. Lockshaw
Football - Class of 1974

Dave will be best remembered as the quarterback on Cardinal Mooney's first "State Championship" team in 1973. His leadership and poise were instrumental in that team's successful 11-1 season.

But, Dave's real forte was defense. A fierce tackler and tenacious pass defender, Dave was recognized in 1973 as an All-Steel Valley, All-Northeastern Ohio, and All-State First Team defensive back. He participated in the 1974 North/South Ohio All-Star game.

Dave was a three-year letterman in football and earned two varsity letters in basketball and one in baseball--to cement his reputation as a tremendous all around athlete.

Dave graduated from Youngstown State University and Ohio University's College of Osteopathic Medicine and is currently a Family Practice Physician in Struthers. He and his wife Judy have four children.
