Jack Loew
Football - Class of 1978

One need not search his memory to picture Jack Loew as an intense, tough as nails, Cardinal Mooney gridder. Jack gained over 1900 yards the hard way. Not blessed with great speed or overpowering size, he more than made up for it with sheer will and hard work. Jack was selected All-Steel Valley in both his junior and senior years leading Mooney to two Steel Valley titles and a state play-off berth. He was selected to the All-Northeastern Ohio team as a senior. Jack earned a full athletic scholarship to Southern Colorado University where his football playing days ended with a knee injury. Jack currently works for Tamco Distributors. He is the current president of the Youngstown Golden Gloves and Amateur Boxing Trainers Association and is the trainer of the undefeated WBF welterweight champ Ken Sigurani. Jack and his wife Marlene have three children, Nichole, Brandi and John.
