No one has given more unselfishly of
this time, effort, and talents to benefit Cardinal Mooney athletes
than Pat Ortenzio.
For over two decades, he has been a
fixture involved with all aspects of the athletic program at CMHS.
Pat can be counted on to do whatever necessary to generate the
extra funds needed to support Mooney's athletic program.
He was a charter member of the Golden
Cardinals and has served as President of the Cardinal Mooney Booster
Club since its reorganization in 1987. He operates the school's
in-house store, the Cardinal's Nest, spending countless hours
at the school meeting the special needs of our fans for "customized
Mooney clothing and souvenirs. Arguably, Mooney fans are the "best-dressed"
fans in the area because of his efforts.
Whether he's driving to West Virginia
to pick up game films, calling bingo numbers on Thursday nights,
or organizing postgame meals when the football team travels. Pat
has been the one person that the school's administration, coaches,
and students could always count on to do whatever was needed to
maintain the school's reputation for excellence.
Pat and his wife Janet have two sons,
Scott and Mark, both graduates of Cardinal Mooney.
