Many long-time Money fans consider
Jon Saadey one of the school’s best all-around athletes. Jon was
nearly unstoppable as an option quarterback who could pass as
well as run. Jon is still CMHS leading passer in yards and completions.
Jon led the Cardinals to an SVC and state title in 1982 and an
svc title in 1981. He was chosen All-SVC in 1982. His baseball
laurels are equally impressive. Jon started for three years and
in 1983 was a unanimous All-SVC pick at designated hitter for
his 569 average. Saadey went on to play football and baseball
for Yale University. He captained the baseball team in 1987 and
earned baseball MVP honors in both 1986 and 1987. After Yale,
Jon graduated from Ohio State University Dental School and is
presently in private practice in Canfield. Jon is married to the
former Lisa Vechiarella and they have two children-Shannon (6)
and Jon (5).
