It
has been said that "golf is a game that can be enjoyed your
entire life."If
that's the case, Joe Schumer is well on his way to a lifetime
of fun.
Joe
lettered all four years at Cardinal Mooney earning All-SVC honors
in '75 and '76 with outstanding scoring averages of 38.8 and 38.3.Joe led his teammates to a sectional championship,
district runners-up, and third place finish at state in 1975.In '76, Joe improved and the team won the sectional championship.
Joe
went on to play two years at Miami Dade Community College moving
on to play professional golf on the Asian Golf Tour and the South
American tour.After returning to the U.S., Joe began a new
career as a PGA club professional and eventually was part of a
small group of owners who have golf courses in Michigan, Montana,
and Minnesota.
Joe
and his wife, Marilyn, have three children and live in Michigan.Joe has taken a game that he loves and has
made a career of being the "Director of Fun."
