Jill Sinclair is truly one of the
finest athletes ever to perform for Cardinal Mooney. She would
have been a lock for Hall of Fame induction for her tennis skills
had not her basketball talent won out. Jill was a four year letter
winner and still remains among career leaders in points and rebounds.
Her senior season produced All-State honorable mention, All SVC,
All Diocese, and All-Tri-County personal awards. Jill led the
Lady Cards to three SVC titles and three District crowns in her
four years. As mentioned, Jill also earned four tennis letters
and was picked to the All SVC teams as both a junior and a senior.
As a senior, Jill was undefeated at the #1 singles position and
sectional champion. Jill, again, went on to earn four letters
in both basketball and tennis at Grove City College. Jill ended
her basketball career as the school’s all time 3rd leading scorer
and led the ‘82 and ‘83 teams into the NCAA Championships. On
the tennis court she led GCC to 3 undefeated seasons and was the
first and, still, only undefeated singles player. Jill is currently
the controller at CCL Container. She is married to Gene Mettille
and has two sons, Tyler and Mackenzie.
