Karla Williams was selected All-Steel
Valley as a junior and a senior, topping the Lady Cardinals hoop
squad in scoring both years and leading those teams to a record
20 consecutive league wins. One of Mooney’s all-team leading scorers,
she averaged 17 ppg her senior season while leading the Cards
to the Steel Valley championship with a 12-0 mark. Karla was picked
All-State honorable mention. Karla’s basketball prowess didn’t
go unnoticed- she received a full athletic scholarship to Kent
State University. At Kent, Karla ranked in the top three scoring,
rebounding and steals while being selected to the Mid-American
All- Conference team. Karla graduated from Kent and will receive
her Master of Education degree from Youngstown State University
in June 1997. She and her husband L. Craig Randall are the owners
of A.I.I.S., Inc. a computer business specializing in document
imaging. Karla and her husband are the proud parents of three
sons, Lance, Kyle and Craig. In addition, Karla is presently an
adolescent counsellor and is involved in guidance counselling.
