The Cardinal Mooney Cheerleaders
exist to promote and develop school spirit. They support the Mooney
teams through different acts and deeds. The primary activities include
cheering at football and basketball games. They are also involved
with the planning of all rallies and any other functions involving
the show of school spirit.
Their are sixteen cheerleaders with captains on both
varsity and junior varsity levels. In 2002 a Freshman squad was
formed to support the Freshman sports.
The cheerleaders are responsible for almost all of
their expenses. They have a clinic in the summer, car washes and
various fundraisers such as selling Christmas "candy-grams"
during the school year. You can find the cheerleaders doing a lot
of volunteer work for the community.
The cheerleaders and their advisor, Mrs. Leslie Groubert,
appreciate the support of the student body and parents this school
year!! We had great rallies this year !!!
