| Joanne Carney Smith began her professional
career as a junior high teacher. She taught seven years at St. Brendan
School and one year at Holy Family School before joining the CMHS
faculty in 1989. Mrs. Carney Smith taught freshman and senior religion
for four years before she took on her current role of Assistant Principal.
In addition to her work with recruitment and registration, she enjoys
directing the Mooney Theatre Program
and also assists with the Music Ministers. Mrs. Carney Smith is married
to Ed Smith who is our Foreign Language Department
Chair.
Joanne is a graduate of Youngstown State University where she earned
a Bachelors of Science in Education and a Masters of Science in
Education.
