The Golf Team and Coach Mary Theresa.

Earlier this month, the golf team went to the Ohio state tournament, marking the fourth year in a row they had qualified. Everyone was super excited, especially since this season was the last for four of the team’s seniors. Winning a state title would have been the perfect way to finish things off, not just for them but for the program as a whole.

Throughout the season, the team had grown a lot, both individually and in how they worked together. Their chemistry was one of their biggest strengths. “When I wasn’t playing well, I knew my teammates were there to help balance out the good and the bad,” junior Tyler Guerrieri said. That trust in each other was something that carried them through the tougher matches.

The team stayed consistent all season, placing well in tournaments and showing they could handle pressure. The seniors stepped up both on and off the course, helping the younger players feel supported and confident.

For the seniors, this trip to state was their last chance to leave their mark. It was actually their fourth time going, making it every single year of high school.

The overall tournament was good with senior Alex Eckstein, finishing second overall.

With their bond and teamwork behind them, the golf team went in ready for the challenge, and the school community was cheering them on the whole way.
