Cardinal Mooney High School has long been known for its strong academic programs and commitment to faith based education. As a Catholic school, it offers more than just traditional classes, it creates an environment where values like sanctity, scholarship and discipline are emphasized every day. I asked Mihali Frangos about the importance of the education he said, “ Education I have learned at Mooney I will carry on through college” Students are encouraged to grow not only intellectually but also spiritually, participating in activities such as school Mass, service projects, and religion classes. This combination helps shape well rounded individuals to prepare for both college and life after high school.
One of the most important lessons learned at a Catholic school like Cardinal Mooney is the importance of community. Students realize they are part of something bigger than themselves, where helping others and supporting classmates is essential. I asked Sophia Rotunno about her experience at Mooney and she said, “I have grown in faith at Cardinal Mooney and met the friends I will keep for life.Whether it’s volunteering, participating in charity events, or simply being nice to people, these experiences teach the value of compassion and empathy. The school environment promotes strong relationships between students, teachers, and staff, making it feel more like a close knit family, this is where the Mooney Family comes from.
