YOUNGSTOWN — Cardinal Mooney was well-represented in the Mahoning County Bar Association’s Law Week. On Monday, social studies teacher, Mr. Justin Prommersberger, accompanied freshmen Lahna Wall & Di’amyn Hugley. They were joined by Judge Carla J. Baldwin at the Youngstown Municipal Court today, for Access to Justice.

The purpose of the Access to Justice program is to encourage minority students in ninth and tenth grades to consider law, judgeships, or other law-related professions, such as court administration, court stenography, and clerking as career goals. The program focuses on career preparation with panel discussions with judges and lawyers sharing professional & personal insights.

On Tuesday, Mya Collella and Leila Loveless took part in the Host – Student – Program. They each have been assigned a local attorney to shadow at their respective offices and will be treated to a Law Day luncheon at Fellows Riverside Gardens.
