(August 3-Youngstown, OH)- The Cardinal Mooney High School Cheerleaders are set to hold their 16th Annual Cheer Camp on the CMHS campus grounds August 2nd through 4th to promote school spirit, fellowship and physical fitness for over 100 girls between the grades of Kindergarten and 8th. Under the direction of advisor, Mrs. Leslie Groubert, the CMHS Cheer Squad will mentor campers in various clinics on cheer style, safety and spirit motivation.
All campers will receive a t-shirt and participate in a Cheer Exhibition this Thursday, August 4th for parents. In addition, 8th grade campers will have the opportunity to participate in an All-Star tryout for the chance to cheer with the CMHS Cheerleaders at a home football game this Fall with all 7th and 8th grade squads invited to cheer at this year’s Mooney-Ursuline rally.
Cardinal Mooney High School Cheerleaders are a largely self supported organization. The squad supports their activities through various events throughout the year, such as Cheer Camps and car washes. More than just 16 student cheerleaders, the CMHS squad are school ambassadors proudly representing the rich Mooney tradition of service at volunteer events throughout the community.
