Tuition

Dear Parent(s),

Enclosed you will find all the information you may need to re-enroll your current student.  Tuition for the 22-23 academic year has been frozen by the Board of Directors at $8,700.  They are committed to keeping Catholic and Mooney education affordable and accessible. In addition, there is our $300 student fee. As we prepare for the next academic year, I am writing to ask for your help.

From conversations and our recent survey, you have said that we need better processes that are simplified and easy to access. You also have let us know that a seamless start to the new school year is important. We agree.

With that in mind, I am asking that you re-enroll your current student(s)—this is for current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students from Feb. 1- Feb. 28. During this time, Mooney will have extended office hours to assist families. It is free and will enable us to begin scheduling classes, build a structure for our master schedule, and provide us with the time to meet with every family one-on-one.

After we re-enroll our current students, we will turn our personal attention to the Class of 2026. With your help, Cardinal Mooney will be ready to welcome you student(s) next school year.

The real cost to Cardinal Mooney of educating a student is substantially higher than the tuition we charge. The difference between the tuition and the actual cost to us (the tuition gap) is made up through continual development efforts and the generosity of the Mooney faithful alumni, parents, and benefactors.  Their gifts are evidence of their confidence in Mooney and in catholic education.

We are happy to provide several payment plans administered by FACTS. You will find information on FACTS enclosed with this letter.

Financial aid information and our common scholarship application are enclosed. Please note you must be enrolled in FACTS to qualify for scholarships.  Our goal is to maintain a student population rich in talent and diverse in culture.  Families are required to complete an application each year and send supporting documents. Mooney staff will be available to assist here at school or over the phone if needed.

We are simultaneously preparing for next school year and to baccalaureate and commencement for our seniors.  This is a busy time for us.  I will close by once again, thank you for your assistance in helping us provide the best experience for those commencing out, those returning, and welcoming the Class of 2026.

Sincerely,

Nick Beyer, President/Principal
