Cardinal Mooney High School celebrated Catholic Schools Week from February 2 through February 6, 2026, with a full week of spirit days and activities focused on faith and appreciation. “My school spirit is very spirited,” said Efi Pizanias.
The week began on Monday, February 2, with Nation Appreciation Day. Students wore red, white, and blue, and made cards for those serving in the military. “It was a good opportunity to recognize the people that served our country,” said Efi Pizanias. On Tuesday, February 3, the school recognized teachers and staff. Students dressed like their favorite faculty or staff members, and prizes were given for the best outfits. Wednesday, February 4, was Student Appreciation Day. Students were allowed to dress down, and special surprises were given throughout the day. The celebration continued on Thursday, February 5, the school attended Mass at 11:00 a.m. Catholic Schools Week ended on Friday, February 6, with Family Appreciation Day. Adoration was held in the chapel from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., and parents were welcomed to pray for the Cardinal Mooney family.
Catholic Schools Week gave Cardinal Mooney students and staff a chance to come together and show school spirit. Catholic schools week was a good time for students to reflect on their faith, and a good time to “grow my soul in faith” said Keith Johnson.
