This past Friday, students at Cardinal Mooney high school gathered in the auditorium for the Stations of the Cross service as part of the Lenten season. This is a mainly new thing that the school has been doing but it has been beneficial for many of the students to understand what Jesus went through.

The service followed the traditional 14 stations, each representing a moment from Jesus’ journey to the crucifixion. Our Campus Minister, Mrs. Beth Jones, read out the stations and described them. She also read a bible passage while the students listened respectfully. This gives the students a good opportunity to listen and pray to themselves.

The Stations of the Cross service is meant to give students time to pause and reflect on sacrifice, faith, and the meaning of Lent. It offers a break from the usual pace of the school day and encourages everyone to focus on something more meaningful. It also gives the students a chance to appreciate all that Jesus has done for us.

Overall, the event is expected to bring the school community together for a shared moment of reflection and prayer, and the students hope it will continue in the years to come.
